With a total of 25 years experience with Forest City Trading Group, developing industrials, OEM and specialty products for Olympic Industries, I founded BPWood in 2000 to pursue supply chains outside of FCTG’s scope of preference. BPWood’s team has grown its depth and skillsets ever since. Today, we confidently enjoy multi-species/products partnerships globally. Today, my role at BPWood as Founder/Chaiman allows me to focus on new models for value creation with quality partners. Steve joined BPWood in 2011 after 15 years at Sundance Forest Industries Ltd. (Edson, Alberta) where he managed the sales and marketing program for a multi-faceted metric sawmill and remanufacturing operation. He trades both domestic and export markets particularly Japan and China. Steve also oversees our European sawmill supply programs.

Bill Moulds rejoins BPWood in his new role as VP of Business Development. Bill spent his hiatus away from us focusing on the startup and refinement of complex offshore wood supply chains. He is a longtime friend of BPWood who was instrumental in assisting our early growth. Before that, he was the founder/creator of South Fraser Container Services Ltd. (SFCS) which became the foremost container logistics loading for sailings from the Port of Vancouver. SFCS served North American Export wholesalers and Mill shippers which was acquired in 2012 by the preeminent Tokyo Lumber Terminal Co. Bill’s depth and wise eye will support BPWood’s trader group with analytics and insights and he will concentrate on increasing growth and maintaining our brand as The Nimble Innovators®. -

Recently taking up the role as BPWood’s Export Manager to assist our growing business, Kevin arrived from Belgium in 2014 with a proven background in Production and Quality Control at companies such as Estee Lauder and Umicore. With his continuous presence in BC’s unique Custom Cut and Forestry world, adding two Coastal Grading tickets along the way, Kevin makes, trades and adds high value to the Coastal “King” species of Cedar, Fir, Hemlock, Sitka and AYC to supply discerning clients around the world. His native Dutch language skills further add to BPWood’s company toolkit.

Chris joined the BPWood team in 2016 with a desire to immerse himself in the world of lumber, having spent most of his adult years in the extreme sports business as a helicopter ski guide, a high-performance freestyle ski coach and kiteboarding instructor. Today, while still working with a global customer base for Canadian products, Chris is the sales lead for our ThermoWood® Program in North America. He also supports N. American customers with coastal timber and interior cedar from our reman operations.

After obtaining his BCIT diploma in Wood Products Manufacturing, Chad spent seven years in lumber manufacturing with Riverside Forest Products before moving onto sales and marketing with Tolko Industries. Chad trades commodity, industrial, and specialty products in Canada and USA.

Rick joins BPWood after 29 years marketing, selling and re-manufacturing Specialty Wood Products at the producer level. Since 2010, Rick worked for Idaho Forest Group, L.L.C. helping grow their pine and cedar business to a dominant position and has managed IFG's secondary manufacturing division producing primarily Cedar and Pine profiles. He brings BPWood his extensive experience in myriad markets for Pine, Cedar, Fir and Hemlock. Rick enjoys the Pacific Northwest's four seasons and all the outdoor recreation it offers.

Highly trusted by manufacturers and customers on both sides of the Pacific, he works to find the right client product made by the right manufacturer. A regular “traveler to the wood”, his background as a Medical Technologist for Vancouver Coastal Health helped shape his dedicated work attitude and problem solving skills. Williams’ fluent Mandarin and Cantonese brings great value to the success of BPWood’s global business network.

Philipp is a Forest Engineer from Germany, near Cologne. After university and an early stint in Brazil working in hardwoods, he followed with several years of European mill sales to North America and Asia. Philipp joined BPWood 2 years ago to learn our unique ways and to learn our North American wood supply and manufacturing.. Having also earned a Coastal “All Species” Graders ticket, Phil’s now re-based in Germany with two key roles: supplying Euro wood, both lumber and engineered, to BPWood buyers globally. Most enjoyably, he’s growing European clientele for the coveted BC Coastal species we produce and procure: Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, Hemlock and Alaska Yellow Cedar. In addition to his fluent German and English, he also speaks some pretty good Portuguese.

Darin joins BPWood in 2020, having spent his prior 25 years within the Forest City Trading Group. From his background in high volume domestic commodity trading, followed by over a decade of International Trade in both metric and specialty products, he brings an inherent depth of international supply chain dynamics and product skill with him. Darin is building on BPWood’s global skill sets to bring our strategic Euro/Asia/Latin America/South African producer partners deeper into North American O.E.M and Distribution channels.

Reed joined historic MacMillan Bloedel Lumber Company straight from college, in their Building Materials division, and learned his chops during MB’s rapid expansion era in several roles and markets. In both of the Carolinas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. A three-year stint at MB’s White Cedar sawmill solidified Reed’s resume. He then opened and managed a distribution center and led national account sales prior to MB’s acquisition by Weyerhaeuser in 1999. Reed subsequently joined Boise Cascade in 2017, focusing on Cedar and Specialty Wood Products. Joining us in fall of 2023, Reed is excited to align BPWood’s compelling line card to a widening array of great American companies, focusing on our globally tuned supply chain of specialty wood programs.
